You have heard the term, but do you know the key to mindful eating? Is it just about paying attention to what you eat? In this exciting episode, Dr. MC & the Mindful Dietitian, Fiona Sutherland, discuss mindful eating and mindfulness. Fiona explains that understanding mindfulness and cultivating a practice of mindfulness is the first step.

Fiona is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Director of The Mindful Dietitian, living and working in Wurundjeri Country (Naarm, Melbourne), with more than 20 years working in the areas of body image, eating disorders, body image, and sports nutrition. Fiona is committed to weight-inclusive and Trauma-Informed approaches in disrupting harmful and dominant “health” and body narratives, integrating these into clinical work, supervision, and training with Dietitians and health professionals. She is the author of the mini-book “Vitamin A to Z” and host of the Podcast “The Mindful Dietitian.” She teaches across Masters Level Dietetic training programs at several different Universities in Melbourne, specifically in Counselling Skills and Weight Inclusive Approaches in Dietetics. Fiona is a mindfulness practitioner and Yoga Teacher, emphasizing safety, embodiment, mindfulness, and self-compassion in her work, training, and life.
