Publication: Private Special Education School Leaders, Self-Care, and Renewal

Here’s the dissertation that started Dr. MC’s Self-Care Cabaret! As a doctoral student at Lesley University, Dr. MC delved into how private school education leaders perceive their roles in promoting self-care and renewal. 

A few of her key findings: 

  • School leaders often believe self-care and renewal practices are more important for the teams they lead rather than themselves. 
  • School leaders’ ranked importance of self-care and renewal does not correlate with the amount of time spent promoting or practicing self-care. 
  • School leaders could benefit from developing mindful, reflective leadership.
